MICRONOMIX GROWN
DAY 1 - JULY 6, 2012
DAY 15 - JULY 21, 2012
DAY 32 - AUGUST 8, 2012
OBSERVATIONS:
The above photos clearly demonstrate a significantly healthier more robots fruit, with far greater shelf life potential. This alone has tremendous cost saving potential for both the farmers and the supply chains. As expected the Micronomix treated tomatoes were able to be harvest 2 weeks before the conventional tomatoes.

The Brix of the Micronomix tomatoes was 39% higher than the conventional ones, indicating a much better natural sugar concentration. This was substantiated by two independent and blind tasting sessions were set up to compare control samples versus Micronomix grown tomatoes – one took place on the farm and the another in Johannesburg. On site, it was unanimously agreed the Micronomix treated tomato tasted much better being less watery, sweeter, high in fibre structure and with a very deep red tomato skin color. The second test in the city with unknown participants, one of which included a 7 year old child was also set up to to compare the taste preferences between the fruit. 7 out of 7 participants voted for the Micronomix tomatoes.
