APPLES - Udine, Italy 2003
Peter Larcher runs a successful family business and farm that includes several medium sized apple orchards. Being that his business handles not only the production but also marketing and distribution to vendors, quality is paramount. In 2003 he wanted to investigate whether Micronomix would be able to improve his fruit harvests in not only quality and quantity but also improve the fruits shelf life. He started with a basic control test to measure production from trees treated with Micronomix versus trees treated with his normal nutrient inputs. The results obtained show:
- A greater quantity of flowering buds
-
12% more fruit per stem
-
Improved size and uniformity of the fruit
-
7.8% higher Specific Gravity of the apples
-
A 4.3% increase in Brix
-
6.1% firmer fruit
-
19% increase in shelf life

After the first round of treatments in 2003 and the subsequent positive results, Micronomix was adopted as the primary nutrient program for the entire farm. This included new tree cultivation from seedling transplants. The photos below show two comparative applications, one area of the crop that has been treated with Micronomix, the other area with no treatment. Note that every single plant takes hold and grows robustly and uniformly.
